Dori Wolfson, Ed.M
Principal and founder
Following the path of her parents and grandparents, Dori Wolfson, Ed.M., chose teaching at the age of 7. More accurately, teaching chose her. Dori began her career as a Special Educator. Over the next many years, she held classroom and administrative positions, serving high school and middle school students and staff in both public and private settings, urban and suburban districts, domestically and internationally. These experiences were broad and deep and together helped to uncover that learning lasts a lifetime, exclusive of age, demographics, resources, and career position.
As an entrepreneur with three successful education businesses under her belt, Dori has developed leadership skills as a founder and employer, teaching her quickly that hiring, training, developing, and celebrating staff is of critical importance to the success of dynamic businesses. With the addition of skills gained through her work and graduate studies, Dori entered management in the not-for-profit education space. There she spent a decade serving as a director, leader, consultant, and thought partner, focusing on education access, post-secondary workforce development, career pathways, program design and growth, stakeholder coherence, equity and inclusion, and professional learning.
Dori holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Boston University, a Master’s degree in Educational Policy and Management from Harvard University, and a Professional Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.
When she is not engaged in thinking about education equity, and what makes for good citizenship, Dori enjoys authentic travel, friendships across the globe, vitamin D in its sunniest form, pickleball, sushi, and her relationship with her young adult daughter.
